'Learn, Grow and Achieve Together Through God's Love'
We have set up a 'Home Learning' page under the 'Key Information' tab. This will provide more information for you about how to access a quality education for your children at home. Please remember to check your child's class page under the 'Children' tab for regular updates from your classteacher. Please collect a paper pack if you cannot access technology. If you would like more information please phone the DFE coronavirus helpline 0800 046 8687 or visit the full government guidance at:https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19
Thank you for your tremendous support and understanding in this matter, if anything positive can come out of this then it is the wonderful community spirit and offers of help that have been overwhelming.
Every year 6 child that was in school today (17th March) has been sent home with a revision pack containing extra pieces of revision as well as some of the old papers. Revision books have also been sent home to help with this. If you weren't in, we have a number of spares in school which you are more than welcome to.
As well as the revision packs, we also now have Google Classroom which is a great tool for home-school communication. I have posted the first piece of homework on there and I have attached a guide below on how to access the classroom through Google. The code to join our class is: fiovrge
In Year 6, SATs does tend to be seen as one of the bigger events of the year. Whilst the results of the SATs are important to us and to the children, it is even more important that we don't place too much pressure on the heads of the children and overwhelm them with information. Please make sure that the children are still having the time to socialise and do their regular hobbies.
If you would like any assistance with some of the questions that the children are expected to be able to solve, there is a revision book that has been sent home for maths. That should be your first port of call. After that if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Mr Gane, and he will try to find some time to discuss it with you.
At some point closer to the tests, Mr Gane will arrange a SATs information evening. As well as all of this, there are SATs booster sessions happening in school time and some optional booster groups after school. This is open to EVERYONE! I will not turn anybody away from these sessions unless there is a problem with behaviour. These sessions are on a Monday (Maths) and Tuesday (English) after school for 1 hour, all the way up to SATs.

This is the long term plan of what your child will be learning in Year 6.
