Learning Project for 20th April
Home Learning for Reception- Week Commencing 20th April
I hope that you have all had a lovely Easter Holiday. What beautiful weather that we have all enjoyed recently! I've really enjoyed noticing signs of spring as I have walked near to my house each day. My favourite sign of spring has got to be the beautiful cherry blossom trees. As you all know, I love the colour pink so seeing it in nature is always something that I enjoy!
Your third Home Learning Mat is available by clicking on the following link:

You will need to click on EYFS and Week 3. This will enable you to see this week's work. The activities this week all revolve around the theme of 'Viewpoints’. The project this week aims to provide opportunities for your child to learn more about different viewpoints. Learning may focus on physical viewpoints in terms of what you can see outside of the window at home, what others can see looking into your home and then progress onto personal viewpoints and of others.
One of my favourite challenges this week is to create a self-portrait. Feel free to be as creative as you like and don’t forget to send in any photos of these to photos@st-stephens-pri.lancs.sch.uk and I’ll add them to the website for everyone to see your hard work.
There are also Maths, Reading, Writing and Phonics Challenges to complete. In order to help you with the Phonics, I have provided this week’s list of words to practise reading at home. Some words are easier and others offer more challenge so please work through at your child's own level and pace. Just check the Weekly Words section of our page.
I will provide a daily update for you each day- just click on the Daily Updates Section of our Class Page. I’ll try to put a new home learning activity in there each day for you too- if the weather is nice, I’m going to see if I can gather some ideas of exciting activities that you can try in your garden or outside space at home.
I hope you enjoy your activities this week,
Stay safe!
