Thank you for your tremendous support and understanding in this matter, if anything positive can come out of this then it is the wonderful community spirit and offers of help that have been overwhelming.

Learn, Grow and Achieve Together through God's love

Tuesday 24th March

Daily Update- Tuesday 24th March

Good Morning Reception!

We hope that you had a nice day yesterday and managed to complete some of the tasks from Week 1.

Rainbows

Yesterday, we made rainbows in school. You may wish to make your own rainbow picture at home and put it in your window for all to see. You might use paint, crayons, collage or chalk- the choice is yours! It would be fantastic if you could all have a go at this...

Tricky Words

As you scroll down this page, you will see a list of the Tricky Words taught in Reception. As an extra challenge, you could practise spelling these words at home; with the aim of eventually being able to write them from memory. This then lays an excellent foundation for future writing activities.

Extra Tuesday Challenge

Today's challenge is mathematical- how many ways of making 5 can you find? Last week, we looked at Number Bonds to 5 in class. See if you can explore all of the different ways that you can make a total of five by adding two amounts together. You could then have a go at writing these down. Don't forget the words 'part-part-whole'. Further reinforcement of this concept is also found on the Number Blocks episode entitled 'The Whole of Me'.

I will post a new update for you all tomorrow.

Enjoy your day, Mrs. Powell.
