World Book Day
World Book Day was very exciting in school and the children enjoyed dressing up as their Favourite Book Characters.
We have a Reading Motto in our school and the day was the perfect opportunity to reinforce and embrace this. Our Motto is:
'Reading gives wings to our imaginations'.
We celebrated a love of reading by sharing favourite stories with one another. We swapped classes for part of the morning; sharing together in lots of thematic story activities.
In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to use Skype so as to ask questions and listen to a story from an author.
