Welcome Note
" You are precious in my eyes."
Isaiah 43
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to be the Year 5 class teacher this year. I am greatly looking forward to working with you and your child. It’s going to be a year full of learning, fun, and lots of exciting topics. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.
Here is a little bit about me. I grew up in Great Harwood, went to university at Loughborough University and completed my teacher training in Cumbria. I thoroughly enjoy travelling and I spent the first five years of my teaching career working abroad. First, in Kuwait for three years and then in Venezuela for two years. I love sport and enjoy playing and coaching netball. I have previous coached netball in Kenya and Uganda- both of which were amazing experiences.
I have wanted to be a teacher since my first day at nursery school when I was three years old. I endeavor to ensure that all the children in my class feel comfortable, safe and eager to learn. It is my mission to help your children become a life-long learner and cultivate a love of learning.
It is very important to me that we keep communication open between ourselves. Please contact the office to make an appointment to see me whenever you have the need to. I look forward to our year together.
Best wishes,
Mrs Turnbull
