Our Weekly Celebration Worship
Fri 24 Jan 2020Every Friday, we have a special Celebration Worship in school. This is a lovely time where we share in celebrating our achievements as a whole school. We invite the families of children who are receiving awards to come along too.
This section of the website will be updated weekly and will provide an opportunity for children who have received an award to have their photograph on our website page.
In addition, our Celebration Worship enables us to find out the winning team each week. We all work together to collect team points throughout the week. The Team Captains of the winning team will then be presented with our special trophy for the week.
Don't forget to encourage your child to bring in any awards that they have received from clubs or groups outside of school; for example, swimming, dance, football or gymnastics etc. We love to share these as a school and it creates a real sense of community, where we all feel that we are learning, growing and achieving together.

KIK
Fri 06 Dec 2019We have been supporting KIK, which is a UK registered charity. Through KIK, we have sponsored two children from Sierra Leone in West Africa. Our sponsorship supports them in receiving a full education. It also helps to ensure that they are well nourished and have access to any medical treatment that they might need. Here are some photographs from our Introductory Assembly but keep checking back as we will add more throughout the term. We are looking forward to finding out more about our two children and how our sponsorship is helping them as the year goes on. -

Remembrance Day
Mon 18 Nov 2019We held a World War 2 Themed Week in order to help us to think about Remembrance Day. This was very exciting and each class enjoyed a variety of carefully planned activities in relation to this theme. Children made poppies using a range of media and talked about the significance of the poppy; at an age-appropriate level. Children in KS2 talked about World War 2 and enjoyed learning about what life was like during the war.
We concluded the week by dressing up in World War 2 costumes. The children all looked fantastic so thank you for all of the time and effort spent in getting the costumes ready at home. This was greatly appreciated and created such a memorable day for the children.
