'Learn, Grow and Achieve Together Through God's Love'

We have set up a 'Home Learning' page under the 'Key Information' tab.  This will provide more information for you about how to access a quality education  for your children at home.  Please remember to check your child's class page under the 'Children' tab for regular updates from your classteacher.  Please collect a paper pack if you cannot access technology.  If you would like more information please phone the DFE coronavirus helpline 0800 046 8687 or visit the full government guidance at:

Thank you for your tremendous support and understanding in this matter, if anything positive can come out of this then it is the wonderful community spirit and offers of help that have been overwhelming.

Learn, Grow and Achieve Together through God's love

Week 9

Friday 12th June 2020

Hello Year 3! It was so lovely to speak to a lot of you yesterday! It made me and Mrs Townend smile so much! If we didn't manage to talk to you we left you a little message.

Lancashire Music Service: Virtual Big Sing

Children both in schools and at home are invited to be part of Lancashire Big Sing! We'll be hosting a ‘Virtual’ Big Sing on our Lancashire Music Service YouTube channel available to young singers at home or in school.

For those of you who love to sing, why not get involved? Click here for more information: HERE. Follow the daily videos on the LMS YouTube Channel from Monday 15th June to learn the songs and then join in on Thursday 25th June when children and families from all over Lancashire will be singing in our virtual performance with singing leaders Emma and Tim.

Have fun singing Year 3!

Good morning Year 3! Myself and Mrs Townend have been in school all week and we are missing you very much. I hope you are still enjoying our 'Under the Sea' theme.

On Sunday (7th June), it was Trinity Sunday. This is the first Sunday after Pentecost. It is where Christians think of God as 'three in one' - God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You can watch and read the powerpoint below and as a challenge, you can create your own special Holy Trinity symbol. If you'd like to send a photo of your design into school, I'd like to see them.

Wednesday 10th June 2020

Hi Year 3! What a shame about all this gloomy weather we have been having this week. I managed to get out and run a 5k before school this morning but it was very cold!

I hope you are having a lovely time learning about 'Under the Sea'. I have been in school this week and we have been following the learning mats like you are at home. I am really enjoying our this week's topic.

I have attached Lesson 4 of our Science topic 'Light'. It is all about identifying opaque, translucent and transparent materials. It is a great lesson!

Have lots of fun Year 3.

Smiles and hugs,

Monday 1st June 2020

Good morning Year 3! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Please don't forget to send any photos of the learning you did last week to

You will see that there are two learning mats below. This is due to a mix up I made in Week 4. On Week 4 I placed the 'Under the Sea-Week 8' learning mat on the page instead of the 'Animals- Week 4' learning mat that I should have.

If you did not complete the 'Under the Sea- Week 8' mat then please do that this week. If you did then please complete the 'Animals-Week 4' learning mat.  You will see that 'Under the Sea- Week 8' has the wrong date on the top. Please ignore this. I am really sorry for this mix up.

I hope you enjoy your learning!
