Learn, Grow and Achieve Together through God's love

Week 1

Home Learning

Well, it is Friday.  It has been a funny week.  We hope some of you are continuing to do the P.E. session with Joe Wicks.  We have checked your scores on Sumdog and  some of you need to be doing more if we are going to beat Year 1.   We are going to leave the picture of what your friends made on Wednesday on the page until next week.  We hope you and your family have a good weekend.

The week 1 learning project is here:

We would like to thank the Robin Hood Academy Trust for sharing the home learning projects with us. The project this week is centred around 'My Family'.  Remember your Numbots log in is the same as your Time Tables Rock Star and the school post code is BB11 3EJ.

If you are looking at time here is a link to a short clip from the BBC to remind you about o'clock and half past.

The old BBC Numbertime programme on time is available on YouTube.

Extra challenge for Monday is mathematical:

How many calculations can you write, in 3 minutes, that have a total of 15 using the digits 0 to 9 and the addition sign (+) and the (-)?

Extra challenge for Tuesday is a word challenge:

Start with the word 'line', change just one letter at a time to make a new word.  See how many words you can make.

Extra challenge for Wednesday is a physical challenge:

Joe Wicks is doing P.E. sessions everyday and we have been doing them in school.  Here is the link choose one and join in.

Extra challenge for Thursday is a reading challenge:

Go on to the twinkl website and read an e-book with an adult at home.

Extra challenge for Friday is to complete the Wonderful Writing task.

Wonderful Writing Task

This week the task is to write a recount of your favourite family day out.

Have you done a rainbow picture yet?  If you have please put it in your window.  If not, give it a go.

Wednesday update - the bulb shoot had grown from 22 cm to 31 cm. The seed has not germinated.

The comparative seed investigation, looking at different conditions - the seeds have still not germinated and sprouted. sad
