We have had another super week! We have been working on our 4 and 8 times tables in Maths. Miss Hindle is very pleased as we are learning lots of strategies to help us remember them. We have continued our work on our fables in English and have written our own independently. In Guided Reading, we have been reading all about the mossy frog and have been asking and answering questions about it. In History, we have been learning about how children worked in cotton mills and coal mines during the Industrial Revolution and why this changed as time went on. We were very shocked at the conditions they worked in and how young they were when they worked in these places! In PE, we have been playing cricket - we have some superstar cricketers who will be ones to watch out for in the future! In Art, we have made a start on some Christmas decorations and have created some beautiful angels that will be hung up in the hall.
Next week, as December begins, Miss Hindle and Mrs Townend have lots of fun Christmassy surprises in store for us - watch this space!
Today (November 27th) we also said goodbye to the lovely Miss Little, who has been helping us in class on Thursday and Friday afternoons. We will miss her lots!
⭐Our Star of the Week is Ava and our Role Model is Imogen. Well done!⭐
