What a busy week we have had! The sun has been shining and we have loved playing out on the grass and amongst the trees.
We have continued our work on 'The Enchanted Wood' in English and have created our very own lands and characters ready for when we write our own versions of a part of the story. We have The Land of Candy, The Land of Technology, The Land of Lego and The Land of Underwater to name a few and our characters are a mixture of elves, pixies, gnomes, fairies, brownies and even a robot dog!
In Maths, we have continued to work on 'Money' and have been using our column method addition and subtraction learning from the Autumn Term to work out how much money has been spent on a variety of questions. In Science, we have planted some beans and in some of the pots have taken away water, air, nutrients (soil) and space to see how it affects their growth compared to the beans that have everything they need.
In RE, we looked at The Ten Commandments given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai, why God gave them and what they mean for us as Christians. In French, we have started our new unit, La Famille, and we are enjoying learning the new vocabulary. In our Music lessons, we have been looking at disco music in the form of 'Good Times' by Chic and how it is similar to the song we are learning over this half term. We had lots of fun singing and dancing to the songs!
Please remember that next Friday, April 30th, it is non-uniform day for Pendle (green) team. Well done team Pendle!
